Still, what I have said here is primarily about what LuAnn did. What makes LuAnn such a wonderful agent is about who she is. It all began 18 months ago when my wife Kathy and me decided we were ready to move to a new home in a better school district for our daughter Hannah (age 9)and our son Jonah (age 7). We weren't comfortable with paying a full commission because we're on a budget so we listed it with Buyowner.com and decided to join the do it yourself bunch. We cleaned up the house and waited for things to happen - some people visited the web site but not one single person called us to see the house. This went on for 5 months. As the summer was over we realized we needed to make a change.

We decided to hire a full service realtor but we had a poor prior experience after a corporate relocation so choosing the right agent this time around meant everything to us. We met LuAnn Gilmore through our church and every time we asked someone about her the feedback was glowing. Well turning it over to Luann we knew we were in good hands.Over time LuAnn encouraged us to look at each element of our home and make sure it would meet the needs of potential buyers.She held lunches for the agents in her office, she set up our web site, she hired a decorator to come over at her expense to assist us with staging our home. LuAnn brought potted flowers for the front porch and she even brought items from her home including books and a table cover for the dining room so everything could look perfect.

Time went buy and after several months she encouraged us to think outside the box and repair the things that seemed worn or outdated...after twelve months and a slow real estate market we finally had two offers at the same time. LuAnn taught us to be patient and demonstrated true teamwork by having a colleague show the house while she was out of town. The deal went through. Eric even came with us to the closing so we could thank him ourselves.

Each step along the way was a challenge and LuAnn helped us think about finding the right home in the school district we had identified...she was always there for us day or night. When it came time to buy our new home LuAnn helped us pick out just the right house...but then she had to leave town again because her stepdaughter was getting married.
LuAnn left us in the care of Jim and Jeanne McKechnie and as we encountered some concerns about engineering issues with the house they were there for us. Many phone calls, conversations and meetings with contractors and difficult negotiations made us wonder if this home was truly meant for us. We prevailed and they did an excellent job helping us negotiate to have funds set aside by the sellers for some repairs to allay our concerns.

We LOVE our new home and we know that God had a plan beyond what we could see. LuAnn, Eric, Jim and Jeanne worked like a team in an industry that is not know for team work. I was amazed at the level of commitment, professionalism and enthusiasm on the part of each person I met at Keller Williams. These folks truly went the extra mile for us. We cannot say thank you enough and we will be using KW in future for our next home purchase.
